Microsoft is not only a CTXS stockholder, it is the largest stockholder at 5.54 %. Four investment institutions also own over 5% each.
In looking over SEC filings I came across the statement that MSFT is not bound to support ICA Protocol until 11/99 as is commonly thought. It can stop at any time "if certain events occur". " Certain events" weren't further defined.
Meanwhile the technical picture is nasty - through support around 76 or so, through the 50 day moving average . All the gains since mid October are gone with the wind. The only good (?) news is that it's also through my own variety of Bollinger bands. I keep having the feeling that the institutions know what CTXS is up to and don't like it, but if this were the case the volume would probably be higher. I hope today's bounce isn't a dead cat one, up nearly 3 as I write this.
Meanwhile CTXS is getting money cheap - zero coupon , 5.25 % interest.
