JP, Well, Earlie and several other folks want to buy them. I don't because Intel is way down the food chain. They have shipped lots of mpcs with the Pentupnodemand III intro and the fact that they are gathering dust in warehouses means nothing to them this quarter. Yes, in a perfect world, investors would ask about the millions of chips in inventory, the disappearing cash, the low sell-through to final customers, etc. But we do not have a perfect world. Intel has lots of cash, holdings in companies whose stocks have gone up and some excellent accountants. Basically, I think they can fake the headlines on eps this quarter, and that is all the gullubulls read. The time to buy puts, IMHO, is right after the announcement, before somebody gives the statement an odorectomy. <g>

That being said, this strategy made me miss the top on Dell and Micron, and already on Intel. It helped me hit the nail on the head with Compaq and CDWC. So, it has, at best, had a mixed track record.
