Zeev, Nationalism is a religion for some. Yes, I corrected my earlier statement about the Serbs. Look how long the fighting continued in N. Ireland. Those people had plenty to lose. There are people out there that fight for "principle" and those people fight hardest. bp

zeev, ya, i always liked that politico win their hearts and minds stuff. i've read marx, sun tzu, and many others. took about 5 or six courses on soviet union, government, military, foreign policy, history, geography etc. i like the special forces way best...grab em by the balls and their hearts and minds will follow. funny what people do in the name of GOD. bosnia, ireland, israel, other mid-east conflicts, africa tribal stuff, south america. pagans and christians, jews and arabs, catholics and protestants. guess we all hate each other. unclewest

OT I rather like Zeev's suggestion for stopping the strife by giving those war-torn places a taste of the good life. I rather think it does make more sense and would be more cost effective that what goes on. And send some fine wine my way, too! Gotta get something for my taxes, and it would sure taste better than cruise missile exhaust. I hate the cost and intent of those damn things, no matter who they aim them at. Waste. Waste. I dove into the RMBS thread today, and all I find is politics! But interesting. Now, how low might RAM Bus go? George
