Again, Michelle, the "tidal wave" seems to be the result of a weak Republican turnout, which may or may not have to do with the social issues primarily, and if you believe the Times, probably does not. A perverse effect of the expectation that we would gain a dozen seats in the House may have been that Republicans felt less motivated to turn out, for example. Your articles are interesting, and certainly muddy the water, but there is still that pesky Times poll...
