Hmmmmmmmmm, well, speaking strictly as a shareholder, I sure hope it doesn't go that low. I think all of the selling the last few days will come to a halt, if not tomorrow, certainly by the end of the week.
If the market continues to melt, who knows, although 120 sure sounds low now. JMHO

My concerns are this Kosovo issue and a preannouncement from DELL. I am not too worried about CPQ or IBM as I think any warnings from them are already factored into the Market.

So then, how to time an ATHM purchase?

That's a tough one. Half of me would argue its not worth trying to time, just jump in since I believe the stock will outperform the Market over the long term. The other half says that if we get any more major negatives in the market (like a DELL preannouncement) then they will be coming in the near term, so give it a week and you should get the right opportunity to buy in.

This is a tough one, but my gut tells me this sell off is close to being finished. My big concern is DELL right now, however, and that's a tough one to predict.

Take a look at buying XCIT if you are confident in the Merger as it currently provides a nice discount to where ATHM is currently trading.

As I always say, a lot of this depends on your investment objectives. I have owned MSFT for six years (never sold a share) and cannot remember thinking back regretting a purchase price I paid on my shares. I expect the same from my ATHM purchases over the long term.

Tef, recently left BCST after run up.Have been waiting for any pullback to make an entry into what is IMO the next target of consolidation. Was very much impressed with ATHM strength in the pullback.I may be in the caboose but on the train.CNBC guest analyst mentioned recent purchase of ATHM.Says it has much upside and sees more consolidation in industry in coming months. No great surprise however good to hear and convinced me not to wait.I believe upward movement will most likely occur before the much anticipated (20PT.sorry)downturn.Glad to see this thread has a sense of humor.
