The reality of your note is contrary to the efforts and opinions of most posters on this board. The sad truth, gold is not going to move until an actual bonifide crisis has taken hold, not threatens to take hold. Gold is insurance and like all insurance policies, the holder would rather not make a claim.
Too many the Y2K problem looms as that golden crisis offering gold the opportunity for salvation. When the specter of a Y2K passes without a worldwide collapse and gold continues to lanquish, they will not be deterred. A new threat will appear etc, etc, etc.
