Doug - I believe those PUT's were bought by people who sold the April 10 Put's to hedge their "naked" position. You will want to look at the net open interest changes between the May 7 1/2 Put's (these are mostly all new-to-open) and the reduction in open interest from the April 10 Put's.

To obtain a better view of the option activity is to measure the net open interest expansion and reduction across all strike prices. I am really not too worried about the option volume today. There was activity in the AQFPB's (April 10 Put's) 100 @ $2 1/2 as well as the AQFQU's (May $7 1/2 Put's) 500 @ $1. Also note the activity in the AQFIB's (Sep. $10 Calls) 255 @ $1 1/4.

I suspect that if you look at the net open interest change tomorrow for the AQFPB's (oi=610), AQFQU's (oi=55), AQFIB's (oi=301), you will better see the net changes in todays option activity.

I use this site to track the price, volume and open interst changes for options... (http://cboe.pcquote.com/cgi-bin/cboeopt.exe?ticker=afci&ALL=1).
