Just curious if this has any affect on Loral. I posted a brief description back in message #5541. Is this to small a piece of the picture?

Mar. 22, 1999 (COMMUNICATIONS TODAY, Vol. 5, No. 55 via COMTEX) --
Intelsat engineers are testing a VSAT-based rural telephony system designed to take market share away from the mobilesat operators. The Intelsat system connects satellites with wireless local loop installations over a DAMA network supplied by STM Wireless of Irvine, Calif. It is designed to give Intelsat an inexpensive alternative to the systems of Iridium LLC [IRID],Globalstar L.P. [GSTRF] and ICO Global Communications [ICOGF]. Calls made on the Intelsat system will cost as little as 10 cents per minute vs. the several dollars per
minute planned by the competitors.
