Phil, some might wonder why you would ask Dave the type of question that you have just done. Some would reply that its a Business 101 type beginners (aka obvious) type question that does not need asking. To me tho these seemingly simple and obvious question/answer type communication exchange can have a very big effect on this outcome. As we know, lots of interested parties in this world business arena look for information to help them make very big and important decisions, and future trade and investment with this country Mongolia can be decided in great part by this "little" MGR & MAC conflict. As we all expected, Dave and MGR's Board of Directors and all the other employees of MGR that have a helping hand in this matter, we should feel confident that MGR's position is not only from confidence, but also from strength because Dave will protect MGR's future in a strong and firm way. Again I wish to stress that these are my views only, I have no contact with MGR except thru public posts on SI to Dave, meaning no Private messages or e-mail, and I don't even do Private messages to anyone else on SI, and I have no other source of information on MGR except this SI thread. So with that said, and a copy of two of Dave's replies to Phil's question, my opinion is that Dave will take a hard and firm stand against any outcome from the Mongolia's courts that puts MGR's future in doubt or weakness. To me this means MGR's long term future will be protected, even if it means that this "frozen" MGR Bambat issue continues because Dave will not "play ball" to lessen MAC's accountability. I feel that Dave has put all his "public" cards on the table in his last two posts here, and I would suggest to Dave to be silence until the court decision is made. I realize this "play" by me fits my position in MGR, not anyone else, where my position is a long term wait if need be. <<Mongolia's commercial courts are now being viewed by the world, and there is no more important provision affecting foreign investment than the guarantee of the rule of law. Dave>> <<...should be able to make a simple ruling based on the TD Bank's submission. Our interests should not be affected by this matter as our agreements predate the loan agreement. Our course of action will be determined by the outcome of this ruling. Dave>> Doug
