I would be shocked if any of this run was attributable to an upcoming scientific presentation of old data in Sweden. If it is, it just goes to show that there are a lot of uninformed investors out there, or a lot of traders who took advantage of an impressive momentum play.

I don't want to hazard a guess about the reasons for the jump in price and volume. I've seen some messages that suggest that ICOS is a target for a buyout, but these are rumors, and nothing more than rumors until someone produces a verifiable source for his/her musings. Others have suggested institutional buying or LeukArrest data (multiple dose MS and hemorrhagic shock results are expected soon), but again I have no special insight into the veracity of these claims.

Like Edward, I don't like being mystified by ICOS's move, and without news to help support the rise, I expect ICOS to come back down. I'm not going to try to time the market - the last time I tried this, I guessed wrong.

Regards to all,
Lel
