You are getting NO SHARES. The idea of a LIMIT order is to put a LIMIT on your buy price, in your case 24. Priced at 37, ABOVE your limit that you said you did not want to pay more than, hence you will not get any shares.

lifeisgood, the e-mail confirmation seems to be in error. Your limit order of 24 should have been rejected and that is that. What this e-mail suggests is that their software did not check all conditions of your offer with the actual offering. Meaning, did not check that your offer was "limit" nor did it compare your 24 with the 37 of which it was priced at.

If they made the mistake of sending you that e-mail, I don't think that they are obliged to uphold it since it is clearly in error.
