Surely not every normal curve. The normal curve emerges from the summation of random causes. The log-normal curve results from the summation of the logs of random causes -- i.e. cumulative multiplicative processes. A high IQ tends to multiply the effect of an ample inheritance, a charming personality, and personal beauty, and a good outside shot. It seems that "genius" , leadership, earnings, wealth, etc. are distributed log-normally. We don't have many poor people with minus $70 billion wealth to balance Gates in the wealth distribution.
