Someone joked a few days ago about daydreaming about gigabuys.com being an IPO, and it created a question in my mind. If gigabuys.com ever did become a separate entity, and was offered to the public, would current Dell shareholders be given a piece of that pie up front? Wouldn't THAT be something! And you just know that as an Internet IPO, run by Dell, it would blast off in short order.

BTW, this is just a hypothetical scenario/question, and I have NO reason to believe gigabuys.com will ever go public as a separate offering, so please don't accuse me of rumor-mongering.

Long On Dell,
John
