Ah, SR, I thought you had mellowed from associating with the nice ladies on this thread. Don't you know that textbooks are written at the direction of filthy capitalistic swine who tell the writers what to write? Don't you know that locally or state appointed boards select what school books will be used? Have you actually ever read a textbook? I'm working on Heather has Two Mommies now. The plot is a little weak, but the characterizations are killer. Many of the kids around here complain that they only have one mommy to pamper them. I regret to report that we are not producing nearly enough people who vote Democratic. The real problem is that there is a conspiracy of foreign agents (or people who masquerade as foreign agents) who are attacking our schools. If the shoe fits you can't be acquit.

Don't you think that the government schools teaching evolution is enough reason to question it? Fascinating! Educational McCarthyism. I have in my hands a list of 100 public school graduates! believers in God will resist, citing a higher moral code.The Bible. I love the idea of a higher moral code. Let's hear it for wiping out the non-believers. We can have a new Inquisition. And why stop with Sodom and Gomorrah? We can do New York, San Francisco, and Dallas. Oh, and the next time some banana claims that God told him to kill his first born -- why, we'll write a new book in the bible named after him. My mind is awhirl with the possibilities. CTC
