That's a pretty good story Steve but it still looks like some people just don't get it. This statement: "Still, ACTV's business model asks the consumer to pay for enhanced
content on a program-by-program basis -- a model that has proven
unpopular in the past" doesn't quite jive with this statement: ""The big caveat for these guys -- is how fast they can get a million
(ACTV-enhanced) set-top boxes out there," said Gerry Kaufhold,
principal analyst with new media watcher In-Stat Group. "It's at that
point that advertising revenues take off." At least it's an analyst that realizes the potential of the advertising side of business, while the writer of the article ignored it. That's the second time in a week that the advertising potential has been ignored by a writer. The last time was the guy from the Motley Fool. While the Fool article was quite positive, no mention was made about the advertising side of the business model.
