eFax.com CEO Addresses Gartner Group's Dataquest Predicts '99 Conference; CEO of Leading Fax-to-Email Provider Discusses Company's New Internet Strategy at Premier IT Forum

MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 24, 1999--Rudy Prince, CEO and co-founder of eFax.com (Nasdaq:EFAX), yesterday addressed IT investors, analysts, and key media, during the "Technology Implications: Who's Going to Win & Why" session at Gartner Group's Dataquest Predicts '99 Conference.

As one of the IT industry's largest strategic executive forums, the Conference draws thousands of attendees annually, and runs from March 22-24 in San Diego, Calif. Dataquest Predicts '99 is designed to provide IT executives with strategic market intelligence to help anticipate the future of this fast moving industry.

Prince told the IT crowd gathered at the San Diego Hyatt how eFax.com is spearheading today's paper to Web revolution with the company's two flagship Internet products, eFax.com, a free fax-to-email consumer service, and HotSend(TM), free software to read any email attachment. "eFax.com is already easing the frustrations and hassles of trying to receive documents remotely," Prince said. "For example, since our breakthrough service eFax.com was introduced in February, over one hundred thousand customers signed up in less than a month for the new Internet service. eFax.com is well ahead of the curve," he noted. By 2003, Prince estimated that 20 percent of all fax documents will be received by email via the Internet.

In addition to Prince's speech, eFax.com was one of the high-tech companies featured in the Gartner Group's Emerging Technology Pavilion, which offered business leaders a glimpse of the future IT products and services most likely to influence consumer and business lifestyles over the next decade. Inside the Pavilion, eFax.com showcased its two flagship Internet products, HotSend and eFax.com, which were introduced in February and March respectively.

"I am pleased that eFax.com was selected to showcase its Internet products and services at this year's Dataquest Predicts '99 Conference, and I'm honored to have the opportunity to speak at the IT industry's premier event," Prince said. "The IT and Internet community is growing rapidly, and all of us at eFax.com intend to play an key strategic role in that arena--so speaking engagements like this one give me a chance to explain our philosophy and business strategy to potential e-commerce and Internet partners."

Christian, EFAX looks more like ZITL every day. First Emerald is involved, now Gartner. Just as in the case of ZITL, Gartner is quoted as claiming a huge and growing market market for their product. Also we see a continuing stream of news about conferences, partnerships, etc. but no sign of any revenues.

A wonderful shorting opportunity.
