Hi everybody, Well, I went ahead and Joined SI after sending a bunch of you E-Mails. Thanks to Herm for the WINs presentation. I jumped in with both feet on Monday...do love those new strategies! Is anyone out there using www.poweropt.com? I really like the service, even if I do have to pay for it. Also, I do love to debate the merits of TA indicators...I am not all that sold on the BB/RSI combination. Yes, it is very correct to hook an oscillator together with a trending signal based on moving averages, but I find MACD and Stochastics to be easier to read, quicker to give a signal of a change in direction, and more reliable if you understand them. However, the BB band penetration (when the bands are well separated, is, indeed a classic, and works well). Put all three together, and watch the slopes of the MACD and Stochastics lines, and fully understand the math behind them, and they are, in combination, a great tool for buying decisions. Personally, I'm inclined to think that most of these TA indicators work well because we all believe they do...and so we make it happen. All is well with that theory as long as the MMs don't program our very predictable responses into their computers, and lay traps for us along the way. Which, of course, they do. Oh, what a cynic I am. Nothing like daytrading for a while to gain that personality flaw.
