Mike, I've had quite the opposite relationship with them and am very happy. To the contrary, I have found them most helpful whenever there is a problem, which has been seldom. I love the software. IMHO Mary

Hi Mike, I have been following your difficulties with A.B Watley. I am not saying this to make you feel badly, but since joining them about a month ago, I have had a very good experience with them, especially in comparison to my two previous brokers, Ameritrade and Discover. There have been a few problems, but I have received polite helpful assistance each time.
I'm wondering if your connection problems could be due to your ISP. Forgive me if I incorrectly use computer jargon in the following, but as I recall Watley recommends that you use either Netscape or Internet Explorer as your browser. I am fortunate to live in an area where I was able to get a cable modem (ATHM) which is also one of their recommendations. They do NOT recommend AOL.
Before switching brokerages, consider this: A.B. Watley does answer their phones fairly promptly and you can get your trades executed this way, while you are waiting for online improvements. I have spent so long waiting on the phone for the other brokerages, and became so consumed with anger, that at times, when someone finally answered, I could not even remember why I called. Of course, all of my anger spewed forth, and I am sure I am still known at those brokerages by some very affectionate, unprintable, nicknames. These were costly mistakes, particularly Ameritrade.
Disregarding the frustration that can occur on both sides of a transaction, when things do not go smoothly, if you are getting some co-operation, and someone is taking the time to at least listen to you, then that is more than you will find in many other places, so be careful.
We are pioneers; some people will help us (Jenna, A.B. Watley) and some people will take advantage of us (many brokerages eg); fear and frustration sometimes make it harder for us to make clear distinctions.
Sorry for taking up so much time with something that maybe shouldn't be posted on this thread during the trading day; promise not to do it again. Good luck Mike and Everyone.
