Sean,

This may sound like a joke, but believe me when I say that my friends system is behaving exactly like mine did after someone exploded a small nuclear device in my living room last year (remember I am on an uncharted island in the Pacific and I assure you that some nations are still conducting testing down here; BTW the third arm I now have is very useful.)

I have tried to boot to an emergency disk I made for win95 (that is what my friend is running on this system) and I can hear the system trying to access the A drive, but no prompt. A total freeze.

I will be messing around with it this evening and hopefully will have some luck. I have seen some messes before, but this is the all time worst.

Thanks and expect me to post requesting more help after I have given everything suggested so far a shot.

Thurston
