dorine.....re: the good old days... isn't it amazing how the "more seasoned" of us remember how the financial markets time and time again fell into the abyss...pundits saying end of world, buy gold, find a mountain top,store water,food, and most importantly...plenty of ammunition...for when the communists come... the domino theory that would cause southeast asia to collapse, swine flu that would wipe out the worlds population, double digit jimmy carter mortgages...jerry ford whip inflation now......japanese investors buying the usa....the american auto industry doomed due to production of "gas hogs"...arab oil embargo....ad nauseam.. looks like we not only survived, but had our long term wealth appreciate....the "immature investor", has not the vision to see beyond the moment...fortunes are made and kept with vision.. the world and the financial markets not so bad...always opportunity..but every once in a while, the children run aimlessly causing chaos...until they run out of energy...nap time not to far away.. dell is a great company...and will remain so until fundamentals change...
