I bought this puppy for 9 3/8 a couple of months ago. I've been getting tired of seeing it's action, so I decided to see if I could get a decent price on some calls. I sold some May 10 calls for 1 9/16. I was surprised to get that much. If I get called away, I'll make more than 20%. If I don't my basis is below 8. Some people must think that WAVO is going much higher above 10 soon.

>The problem is, MSFT couldn't help WaveTop by putting it in Win98. So, what do they do now?>

Put Wavetop in Web TV. I think Bill thinks that a TV in a computer is less compelling than a computer in a TV. How many households have computers versus how many have televisions? I think Gates, right or wrong, sees the television as the ultimate gateway to the internet.

>But, PC/TV convergence will be on the new two-way digital settop boxes.>

And rumors have it the the company is about to sign an agreement with a settop box manufacturer.

>In that case, data will be delivered over the cable using IP packets. So, you don't need any of the old VBI type technology. The data has its own pathway and doesn't need to be put in a sub-band of an existing channel.>

I agree that VBI and inband technology is itself old technology. I'm not willing to concede that it is totally obsolete. I also believe as previously stated that WAVO's technology is "open architecture", a buzz word emphasized by the talking heads for the company, implying compatibility with satellite, cable, etc.

>And the question still remains: What do they have of value?>

A true broadcast medium, point to multipoint. And that's what every advertiser wants, a captive audience.
