Victor: I do not know enough about Prodigy's management to answer your question. Depending on what they mean by "shareholder value," the answer might be, "No." They might feel shareholders will be better served by having the proceeds from what they think will be a 'hot' computer hardware and service IPO go to Prodigy's cash reserves. I have heard a rumor Prodigy is going to keep approximately 53% of the shares after the IPO.

Word on the street is that Prodigy does not like the name Compaq and is in talks with an unnamed PR firm to come up with a new name before they file the S-1.
