Mohan-san:

Kevin said that Dell will not enter that cheap PC market . SMART Now, Individual Investor has an article about that $299 PC which borders to trickery. The article says that $ 599 PC is here to stay. CPQ, HWP and IBM are scrambling for that market. The notable exception is Dell.

Therefore, the article says: aside from Dell, we still recommend steering clear from the sector .

I tried to cut and paste, but for some reason, I cannot even highlight the article. But here is the link:

iionline.com

Dell is not AMAZON.com which lose at every sale but make it up on volume. (how is that again?).

MM - in trying to get my arms (and head) around this market and the future, you post about servers is timely. From what I read, pc revs are down and will (at least near term) remain so. Therefore the box makers are going to have to find and generate revs elsewhere.

Also reading that the first quarter is seasonally sucky and additive to the current share price decline.

Peter
P.S. To those who know all of this far too well, I apologize for the obvious.
