You guys are good. If I wasn't the savvy investor, head of Balloon Enterprise Investments, where our saying is, "If the Balloon don't pop, we ain't at the top.", I could be sucked into throwing money at this Prodigy rumor.<GG>

Lynn,

>>What I heard was that these people thought the real money today was to be made in the traditional hardware business, have a clash of vision with the management at Prodigy

That is because the vision of Prodigy's management coincides the the new Harvard Business Model that suggests, in essence, that earnings and profitability are no longer valid requirements for a successful company....and even impede shareholder value. After all, if a company has earnings, then they only set themselves up to disappoint, or "warn" at some point in time and this problem becomes nonexistant if the company is losing money in the first place.

>>I have heard those financing problems, too.

These have had something to do with overall character credibility as well as concerns about the wherewithall to read financial statements--not to mention basic communication skills. But on the bright side....FunnyMoney magazine has reported that the new management will be able to show considerable equity to any venture capitalist as they have been "stuffing" their garages with excess inventory from this Qtr. This, by some reports, could amount to the entire $9.8 billion, or so, that CPQ should report for the Qtr.

Wow!!! This baby is getting quite complicated.
