the oex and spx are hitting support now.
the indu is still above support but everything is still neg.

i have both longs and puts now.

seeing the market with ta for the very first time after all these years.

i don't have enough experience yet but
but from ta things look bearish.

institutional money or an interest rate cut will send the markets up.
thanks for your ideas.

Did you see the news on ONSL?
Wonder if anyone will realise the implications.

from a Lurker: Rarely having time to read any other threads with my schedule, I never miss this thread and I have to agree with Judy. What is happening now has happened 'pre-earnings' for the past 2 3/4 years, or as long as I've tracked earnings plays. The jitters are here because companies are and will continue to warn of short falls. This casts a pall on the entire market not unlike a haze or cloud and its based just on uncertainty and fear.

It takes some good soothsayers like Abby Cohen to iterate the truth of this phenomenum. Once the 'warnings' are done and the earnings season sets in, say about mid-April, your companies that are fundamentally strong will enjoy more and more upswings and be 'rewarded' for their accelerating earnings. What's more the young upstart companies will still be reporting EPS gains in the triple digits (there are always a few dozen) and these will be the next EPAY's, EXDS's, etc. and the companies that are still not earning but have accelerated revenues and sales ('nets) will likewise surge.

Judy, now I haven't been active in the tech sector for the past 8 weeks and have tentatively made my way back in the last few days. MU, COMS, DELL, MSFT, probably some INTC options for April/May expiration. Do you agree that this looks like a good time to reenter these stocks, especially in light of the 'okay' report by COMS and the better report by MU?
