Thanks for your post...As a long time shareholder, it is appreciated. We have been so "starved" for news, it is very refreshing to see and hear of new developments taking place...And of course, I am wishing you great success, and hope to hear more in the near future.

Dana,

Thank you very much for the sample. I made a couple of pots for the nurses at work and they liked it. They wanted to know where they could purchase more. I told them.

Bob

BTW:I even got a couple of kisses out of it. I guess its true what they say about Italians. ;)

Dear Specialty Coffee Entrepreneur:
"BE PART OF SOMETHING SPECIAL!"

You are cordially invited to attend SCAA's 11th Annual Conference & Exhibition in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from April 30 - May 3, 1999. With more focus on the development of professional and technical skills than any previous Conference, this year's program will set new standards for excellence in the specialty coffee industry.

Under the direction of Conference Chair, Rodger Owen, SCAA is aggressively pursuing our mission of providing a common forum for the development and promotion of coffee excellence. Our 1999 educational sessions will feature a variety of tracks offering presentations in the fields of Growth Profit Trends, Applied Technology, Product Knowledge, Marketing Skills, Environmental Aspects, Growing & Processing, Food Service Expansion, and a special "How To" Start-up series for newcomers to the industry. Friday's program will feature a brand new forum on "Coffee in the 21st Century," which will be an outstanding series of presentations by international industry leaders on the future growth of the specialty industry. Friday will also include the 2nd Annual Tea Symposium conducted by the American Premium Tea Institute and a number of Training Seminars from SCAA's "University of Specialty Coffee" educational series.

Rounding out this year's program will be a Roaster Roundtable introducing the formation of SCAA's new "Roaster's Guild," and the introduction of SCAA's new "Partners in Excellence" retailer's award for being TOPS™ in their market in setting high standards in coffee excellence. This year's Conference will also host a number of fun social events, including SCAA's Welcome Reception, the 1st Annual SCI Awards Reception, a fund-raising Charity Scavenger Hunt hosted by Coffee & Cuisine, as well as the Gala Dinner & Awards Banquet. Come share the "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Great Coffee" with your coffee colleagues in Philadelphia it will be a learning and fellowship experience you will remember forever.

See you in PHILADELPHIA!

Ted R. Lingle

Dear SCAA Members, Friends and Lovers of Great Coffee:

The 11th Annual Conference of the Specialty Coffee Association of America promises to be SCAA's most spectacular event to date. This year's "Portrait of a Country" will feature the geography, the history, the science and the taste of the very special coffees grown in Colombia. On pre-conference Friday, SCAA is hosting a World Specialty Coffee Forum for the international coffee community entitled "Coffee in the 215t Century", in addition to a number of SCAA's world class training classes. During the conference, Philadelphia's St. Joseph's University, a world leader in food marketing, is presenting mini courses on "Food Marketing", providing a new level of professionalism to the program.

In all, Philadelphia will provide a learning opportunity for everyone in the coffee industry, whether you are a coffee grower, importer, roaster or retailer and whether you have been in the industry 20 days or 20 years.

I look forward to seeing all of you at the "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Great Coffee" in Philadelphia, April 30th through May 3rd, 1999.

Becky McKinnon
President, SCAA

Mr. Verrill, I did a little test:

I did a search for coffee AND Massimo on HotBot and Alta Vista. Ichargeit didn't come up, nor did buymdmi. HotBot came up with www.java-centrale at the top of the list. Clicking on it got me a "can't locate the server" message. There was NO pointer, NO link to Ichargeit or buymdmi, NO message about the Java-Centrale URL being replaced by a new, updated site. Just a dead link. Bad news.

Alta Vista also came up with only Java-Centrale, buried deep in the list.

I then went to the Ichargeit site.

Scrolling down, I saw, in small type, "coffees" on the Ichargeit main page. The panel on the left side lists Java-Centrale but does not mention coffee. The Java-Centrale logo does not indicate in any way that this is an on-line coffee vendor. It just says OTC:BB MDMI. Does that make sense? You are trying to attract coffee buyers at this location, not investors.

Near the top of the HTML code there is a list of keywords. These are words that a search engine uses to find its targets. Go to Ichargeit.com and, if you're using Netscape, click on view, page source or hit Ctrl-U. You'll see that THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO MENTION OF COFFEE OR ANYTHING EVEN REMOTELY COFFEE RELATED in the keywords line for a search engine to latch on to. No wonder nothing turned up on the search.

This is not the first time I've brought this up. Nothing's been done about it and now the Java-Centrale site is closed.

What makes this even sadder is that there are nearly two hundred on-line coffee vendors on the internet. And Massimo's or Java Centrale, to someone who doesn't know better, doesn't even exist.

Mr. Verrill, is this how you intend to sell your coffee over the Internet?

MDMI...Marc Stager has a good point!!
The same one i discussed with Dana on the phone before.

Perhaps the IR should be notified of the metatag issue as it seems they may have little experience in this field.

Your last post on SI was a month ago.......is would be in your best interest to start responding to the thread as they own most of the float.

best regards,

bigbuk
