That was his response to a question about 3G/IPR. He added that they were going forward with W-CDMA and keeping the IPR issues separate as the ITU is trying to do. The call was very short on questions. NOt many at all, most about the new phones and conditions in Asia and Latin America. Analysts were trying to get good numbers on the quarter, whether they would be profitable or not, what parts of the world were hurting, etc. For a QCOM owner, the quote I gave you was all that was real meaningful. As a veteran CC listener, this was not at all a positive call. Cabi no doubt goes to a "Absolutely Super-Duper Strong Buy" while lowering his price target. Actually, maybe it is time. If they do a deal with Q, their prospects for growth should brighten.
