Gottfried and threaders, Following are the DW Bull percentages for the last last week and preceding 4 weeks. Note that the high/lows reversed down giving us three of the leading indicator in the downward mode. The 10week is also getting closer to reversing down as well. This, IMO, looks pessimistic to me. AMAT in specific is at the DW Bull Support line at 57. Hopefully, AMAT will bounce off the support line and reverse up. AMAT breaking the Bull Support line of $57 is a negative. However, the IBD relative strength is holding at 95 out of a high possible of 99 which is good. Check the number of sectors below 40% as compared against the previous weeks. On the positive side these lows give potential buyers, if they have cash, additional buying opportunities as the number of sectors below 40%. Only one sector is in the overbought area 70% and above. PS. a new sector, internet, bpinet, has been added to the Bull percentages. Naturally, the above is only my opinions and the data which I have reviewed from the Dorsey Wright site.
