• The first two rounds of the FCC's personal communications services re-auction drew net revenue of $109 million on about
half of the 347 available licenses.

The heftiest licenses--30 megahertz in Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, Detroit and St. Louis--were volleyed primarily among
ConnectBid (partially held by Craig McCaw), Cook Inlet, Leap Wireless and OPCS Three (Omnipoint's bidder). ConnectBid
placed the highest bid so far, $20.7 million, for the Chicago license.
