Will it be enought to break the Casella Waste deal? Based on where CWST is trading ($19), KTIE is worth $17.25, if the deal falls apart and the arbs rush to the doors....

AG; Great call on KTIE, deal spread is getting very very wide. Implied value of KTIE is 18.2, currently trading at 12.875, looks like this deal really is breaking...

IFly is a joke. Here's my real experience.

I need tickets from Atlanta to Calif this summer. Can go anytime during June and can go to any of the 4 northern airports, San Fran, Oakland, San Jose, or Sacramento. I do this every year and with lots of manual research usually find tickets for around $230 each but it takes a lot of manual date changes and airline changes and airport changes to find the magic rate.

Supposedly www.lowairfare.com and IRIS will interact with me and do the math, guaranteeing the lowest prices. Ya, right. Here's what happened.

My first agent, I gave this note.
Can travel any 7 days in June. Can go from Atlanta to either San Jose, Oakland, San Francisco, or Sacramento in California. Looking for 3 tickets around $600 alltogether.
Top of Form 1
Agent Terence: Hi Ken, I'm working on your request right now. Please wait.

After 10 minutes he just disconnected me. Arghhh! not good so far.

Next agent I left the note off and decided to be chatty a little at a time to make sure they were really even there. This reads from the bottom up due to the chat window. Notice what she says when I quote the guarantee to her. "We do guarantee finding the lowest prices-- It's just that we are not always abot to "sell" the lowest ones...." This is a crim stock for sure. Totally bogus guarantee. I'll find those tickets for less than $348 for sure!

Agent Sonja: IS there anything else I can help you with?
Agent Sonja: That is what is showing at this time....
kwhiteside: So you're telling me $348 is the lowest price?
Agent Sonja: We do guarantee finding the lowest prices-- It's just that we are not always able to "sell" the lowest ones.....
kwhiteside: I know I can find those prices in the internet. I was just trying your service becuase you make the guarantee of the lowest prices and the best service.
Agent Sonja: I know that Delta will be cheaper than anything I have to offer you, which is why I referred you to them....
Agent Sonja: We do not service Delta, and they have the lowest fare I can easily offer you something for $400 per person-- but you have made it quite clear you only want to spend around $200
kwhiteside: I'm confused why you want me to find the tickets elsewhere. I thought you guys would help me with this??
Agent Sonja: call Delta
kwhiteside: I'll fly whatever airline give the best price.
Agent Sonja: There is not a fare available for 200 or anywhere near that ... try calling Southwest or America West.....
kwhiteside: Flew last year for $216 on Delta
kwhiteside: Trying to beat $200 each round trip ticket. Can fly any 7 days in June to any of the Nothern airports. Oakland, SF, San Jose, Sacramento
Agent Sonja: ok?
Agent Sonja: Delta has direct flights available for 348... they are also pricing lowest out of neighboring airports in CA.... please call them directly.....
kwhiteside: Can you check multiple arrival airports for me in Calif?? Sonja
Agent Sonja: you spelled my name wrong :)

So where's FIBR on your short list now? I remember you shorted at $7. Today we passed $24. Revenge is sweet!

Oh, yeah, and what ever happened to the "Big news article" that was supposed to damn FIBR? Was it that little Ontario paper that repeated Barron's garbage?

I love revenge! Go OsicoM!!!!!!!!!!!
