A rep at NDB once told me that if a short did show up inadvertently, it would be cancelled. They all have to be OK'd or they will be cancelled. BUT, I have accidentally sold more than I owned and had to buy to cover. Loophole? For day trading probably. This accident was how I ended up violating REG T and I JUST Monday came off restriction.

Can you say MLRE? That's the one I oversold. Bad timing....jimS
