it says Paine Webber has an analyst meeting with CPQ on March 30. I guess by then the news will be out about the quarter.

also some new patents, and CPQ has registered many variations of nonstopsolutions.com domain name.

also a new option related insider buy by Winkler, and it also now lists a whisper # for CPQ of 32c.

Trisha, now I am **REALLY** in a quandary. While walking my pet in the woods, I noticed two men, dressed in beautifully tailored suits, white shirts, and ties deep in conversation. I snuck up and hid behind a tree, close enough to hear, my pet sitting quietly by my feet. The men spotted me when they were done talking but by then, I had heard all I needed to hear. My presence did surprise them and initially, they seemed rather concerned, but I skillfully put them at ease.

Rather than act like the cat that had swallowed the canary, I cheerfully walked towards them and remarked how nicely dressed they were and asked if they were wearing the latest back-woods attire, something I would not know about, not being interested in high fashion.

One of them said, "No, I B M."

I was delighted, what I thought I had overheard was correct.

While the second fellow got a look of, "Why did you say that, stupid," on his face, I innocently extended my hand and said, "Pleased to meet you M, I be Lynn."

The first fellow said, "No, my name is not M. I B..."

Before he could continue, I quickly butt-in with, "No explanation necessary, whatever your name really is, I still be Lynn."

They left. I gradually worked my way back to the house, ready to whisper the incredible news I heard to my fellow thread members.

Now I am not sure what to do since some peeping Toms over at RB are watching us. I'm not sure if I should share what I heard or if I should merely share what I did before getting back in to SI: went short 750,000 shares of MSFT at 167 and am picking-up 500,000 shares of IBM at market tomorrow morning. The IBM is going to be a l-o-n-g hold and the MSFT, I do not want to be greedy, so I shall cover at 10 5/8.
