JDN, >>>
Some people call her MOTHER now!! JDN <<<

Yes, and we did also years ago. Then, it was because IBM would take care of all her "children" (employees) like a mother would. Along came all the layoffs in the 90's, and there went that usage of the word mother re IBM. Now, maybe it's another kind of mother, in that they are supplying stuff to live on, in the form of high tech hardware, to even the competition. I have no problem with this new agreement between EMC and IBM, being the high reliability bigot that I am. That's because IBM invented the term RAS (reliability, availability and serviceability). Their hardware lives by it.
