Re:1 We shouldn't send in ground troops/tanks, etc. Logistically we couldn't support them for any extended time as our forces are spread pretty thin as it is. Clinton has no guts in doing anything so politically dangerous anyway and would lose his precious "high poll numbers" After all, he lives by the polls.
Re: 2 We will end up backing down if the issue isn't resolved very quickly. Clinton proved his lack of guts/resolve during V-nam. After all, is there a lot of difference between Kos. & V-nam, are not both civil wars? Both were entered into by the US because of treaties. We couldn't stick it out in Nam and there is no reason to think we will in Kos. Many people in the US did NOT support our troops in Nam and many won't in Kos. I suspect that a lot of the non-support was due to a lack of personal courage, fear of the draft and plain old cowardice (sounds a lot like the personal characteristics of our president)
