Paul; Correct! Arch-duke Ferdinand was assassinated by a
Serb.At wars end Germany surrendered expecting to be
treated under Wilson's 14 points. When it came time to
sign the surrender papers,they were forced to sign the
Treaty of Versailles, which contained only one of the
14(the forming of the League of Nations). The U.S. never
signed the treaty. This treaty is considered by many to
be the main contributor to the cause of WW11.
