I disagree to some extent with his characterization of the put/call warrants matter, but reasonable people will disagree on that and if my sources are correct, the SEC waded in on the put warrant sale matter in such a way that a number of companies that used to practice it have voluntarily ceased. (I cannot say for certainty that it has happened, but read the 10-K carefully and see if any put warrants are mentioned. The 10-Q only mentioned the call contracts.)

But he is correct on the other matter. The article did explain why Dell dropped.
