My dad (may he rest in peace) owned a couple of chains of clothing stores. I remember at one time he put ads out about credit cards for teenagers. (radio, newspaper, etc). These cards would be good only in his stores and need parents approval. Didn't work out very good...
Too many parents complained that their teenagers were spending too much, and of course when this would happen, they would want to place blame which would go towards the biz.
He ended up scraping the idea.
