Domino:

I've learned what I know about options trading from various web sites and by trial and error. (Very expensive tuition.) A very good website is OptionsInvestor.com. They have a free 2-week trial membership. Their site recommends a lot of good books on options trading and daytrading. They also have tips on options trading on the site.

I have found DREYFUS BROKERAGE to be the best broker for trading options because they're FAST. They execute and report very quickly. Their server is rarely down. It IS possible to get hold of them on the telephone and their commissions are low--$15.00 for stocks and $1.75 per contract with a minimum of $15.00 for options trades. You can put stops on options but they have to be called in. That is a drawback, but it certainly beats the other discount brokers that I have worked with--which were very disappointing--E*Trade, Fidelity and Suretrade.

Hope this helps.
