The Company said that in light of the current market price for its common stock it presently intends to call for redemption, on May 1, 1999, all of its outstanding 5% Convertible Subordinated Notes due May 1, 2006. As an alternative to redemption, holders have the right to convert the Notes into Common Stock of SCI pursuant to the terms of the Notes.
