Nasdaq Level II means you can see bids and offers of market makers. MM stands for market makers and they are various brokerage firms. Day trader are not market makers...the MMs play games with them instead. Notice how the stocks are rammed up every morning before the crater or they are pushed down and then they rally...it's interesting dynamics.
