Unfortunately I overpaid for my leaps -- they had an inflated premium on the day I bought. It wasn't my best work, so to speak. :) I will still make money but it will cost me quite a bit. The April 17-1/2's do not have much premium right now. A better buy. But, as you say, I wanted the insurance, because I was selling shares to buy them, and wanted to be sure that if the worst happened, and it took many months to work out a good deal, I'd still have a strong position. So, I paid for that insurance. Linda
