As I look back to March 98 & the stock split at the time. The stock also had to face (usually softer) 1st quarter #'s , the stock actually didn't get back to the presplit level until the 2nd week of April & then took off again .. just something to consider.

Sure wish these reporters would actually try to interview the PC people .. just keep rambling about the numbers OH THE NUMBERS and still a very one sided type of reporting. With cheaper PC's, people getting a second machine for home, upgraded Y2K complaint units, the net driven use of the PC, the server explosion .. GOOD GRIEF the PC industry IMO is on the edge an unrealized revolution.

70,000 new people sign on to the net every day .. I think it's about time to actually explore the revolution, a more behind the technology reporting style .. reports that have some substance.

This is a great thread & I feel right at home here in Dellville. I own Dell stock & products & wouldn't have it any other way.

Cheers,

Mike
