I'll have to disagree. Jon Laing at Barron's is very good (my old finance/investment texts used to have footnotes referencing his articles back in the 1970s). Gretchen Morgenson who now writes for the NY Times is also quite good. I can also think of several Wall Street Journal reporters who make the grade.
