Judy: I just ran my scans and QCOM shows up as a buy tomorrow if it exceeds today's high. For that matter, so do WCOM, SUNW, MSFT.

Qualcomm and MU

Qualcomm Inc., a U.S. cellular phone and network equipment maker, may be active after Ericsson AB, the world's No. 3 mobile phone maker, said it will acquire its terrestrial Code Division Multiple Access wireless infrastructure business as the companies settle a patent suit over CDMA technology. Qualcomm rose 4 euros to 80 ($87.2) in Germany. It closed yesterday in New York at 87 3/4, up 6.4 percent.

Qualcomm will take a one-time charge connected with the sale of the CDMA business, based in San Diego, California, and Boulder, Colorado. The companies didn't give further detail on the size of the business, the sale or the charge.

MU beat estimates and ERICY settled their troubles overseas, so those two shoujld leas a tech rally today
