with regard to www.poweropt.com, the best way to tell you about its features is to suggest you visit the site and try the demo. They actually have a demo that does more than show frozen screens, like most. The only difference between the demo and real time, is that the Demo data base is a couple of weeks old. Otherwise, you can mess with all of the screening parameters just like in the real version. One of the most powerful features is its ability to focus in on stocks that are exactly where you want them to be in relation to the strike price. You do this by using the % return spread (under the FILTERS heading). Set it to <2%, and you will see all the stocks that are almost at their strike prices. I sort of stumbled on this, and really liked it. By messing with this parameter, you can wind up deep in the money, or deep out too. I would caution that it certainly isn't the only screening tool you should use. However, it sure beats marking up the IBD, and then chasing all over the web, just to find stocks to screen further. I always find at least one new one every day that makes it through TA and the rudimentary fundamental analysis I know how to do. Herm definately has me going back to the books on that stuff!

Hope this helps.
