I have to support a statement like that wholly. In comparing the Serb leaders to Hitler most people make the mistake to forget the preceeding actions before the "outer" international assaults take place. As early as 1921, 12 years before Hitler actually reached chancellorship in Germany, he revolted against the then reigning bavarian government in the "Kapp-Putsch", which ended in a humiliation of him. Being imprisoned, he wrote "Mein Kampf" which turned out to be the hymnus on his fight for power. When he was released his notorious SA began with the street fights against opposing communists and socialists. The courtroom fights "Saalschlachten" have been well known... The "seed" to his intra Germany promotion has, however been the economic depression Germany suffered. With the simple folks suffering impoverishment and even scarcity of basic goods, propaganda fell on fruitious ground - the saga of the "jews robbing the simple folks" emerged. After gaining ground on nationwide elections he finally forced the ancient liberal "Weimar" Republic to resign and received his promotion from the appeasing Reich chancellor Hindenburg. The leeway to extinguish critics has been layed out.. so he opened concentration camps and caught opponents from 1933 onwards. From 1935 onwards, the Nazis increased the pressure on Jews, by imposing the anti-jews laws which, wholly spoken, took all forms of Civil laws away from the Jews, including education, public employment, marriage to "aryan" Germans. However, it took five years until the Nazi Germany began to claim foreign earth....first "original" german earth, like Sudeten-Germany (from Czechia), then Austria, then the Alsace Region.... and then the imperialism led into WW II. The method of "attrition" has been the same abroad. First he increased the pressure on both Czechia and Austria by infiltration. In the year 1934 the charismatic Austrian leader and anti-Nazi, Dollfuss has been murdered by Nazis, and been replaced by the substantially weaker v. Schuschnigg. The looming ecomomic crisis also hit a country like Austria. Hitler ferreted out an advantage when he imposed the so called "1000-Mark Sperre", a measure which basically forced every German to deposit 1000 Mark as deposit when leaving for Austria. Knowing that Austria has been a favorite holiday domicile for Germans, this led to an aprupt decrease of income in holiday regions and levied additional pressure on the originally non-appeasing Austrian government. In Czechia, the Sudeten leader, Konrad Henlein has been backed secretly by Nazi Germany, when he began to complain about pressure levied from the Czech Government. Turned out that the Sudeten Germans begged "help" from friendly Germany which led to the separation of the Sudeten regions from Czechia -as the first step to catch whole Czechia. What should this show: First, the "Fuhrer" wants to dissolve the opposition in his own country by erasing the political opposition along with ethnic minorities. After this target is achieved and the power is being "legitimated" by a "general" vote, it is time to bother about the near vicinity where a minority of the own tribe lives and where (true or rewritten) "historic" links can be shown (like Sudeten-Germany, or Kosovo). Then the attrition is in full force against the neighboring countries..seeking their surrender. At which time, do you think it is necessary to step in to halt imperialistic claims by a local leader .... At which point of recent history Serbia resides.... C.
