todd,

in the frequently asked part of wit's ipo center, they do imply that you need to have 1000 dollars in acct in order to be alloted shares...but i do find it odd when they send you a confirmation letter saying you have been accepted for shares that settlement date is 4 days from now.....but why take a chance on something so trivial....if you dont get shares, just write a check to yourself and withdraw the money out of your acct.

I agree with you Nandu,

If you go look at wits FAQs, I remember reading that you must have $1000 on deposit to qualify... unless it has changed. Has anybody else had success without having $1000 deposited?? That would be nice.

Regards

Antonio

To Nandu:
Yes, you are right. Todd you need least $1000 cash in your account to get an allocation.

I have to disagree with Jimmy on that. My understanding is that you have to have at
least $1000 cash in your account to get an allocation. The rest you can wire in by
settlement date. If you want ABTL, which looks like pricing tomorrow night, make sure
you have at least $1000 cash sitting in the account by tomorrow evening.

Thanks for the info. I had read the FAQs, but the details seemed vague. I don't understand why they even allow you to put in a conditional offer without being more clear about the funding issue?

I've been a little apprehensive to fund it, due to some of the complaints I've heard, and the fact I currently have three brokerage accounts and not anxious to spread money among a fourth, unless I actually got some shares. But if I have to, I have to. I'll go ahead and fund it tomorrow wether I get ONEM or ABTL or not.

Why did even bother sending me an affirmation request?

Todd
