This discussion is motivated by stock market concerns. It isn't an academic debate. In academia we would reach some sort of conclusion, perhaps contrary, and then would go off to write papers. In the stock market they are not so polite. They'll dump like hell if anything I've said is near to being true. In a weak market the stock could irrationally plunge. That is the difference between academia and stock market. You have to anticipate the irrationality which can't rationally be done. That's why you have to sell on the way up in a bull market and that's what the public can't do in spite of all logical entreaties to get them to do so.
