Bill Gates does not know much about investing. I think he picked up too much of that value investing theory from his buddy, Warren Buffet. The former CFO of Microsoft (forgot his name) probably did not know much of share valuations either. That is why this company was not buying back its shares about 1 or 2 ago thinking they were too expensive. I think that is when CFO Maffei took over. I believe
he re-started share repurchases realizing that MSFT stock will keep going up. Better to "dollar cost average" the buybacks like they have been doing lately.

In that article, you can however see how much insight this man has.
He is a visionary.
