>It's not the fact that you are short the stock...

Huh? I first bought this stock in January, 1998, at
$22.125/share. I held for about a year, selling recently
for a huge profit. I sold because I think it got a bit
over-bought - a bit high. Since then I've also traded it
a few times, all at a profit. I also subscribe to the
ATHM service.

But you said I am short the stock, so I guess none of the
above really happened, and I must hate the company, oh well...

Get this - there is a difference between thinking that a
COMPANY is doing great, vs. liking (or not liking) the
current price level of it's stock. Sometimes stock prices
get decoupled from underlying reality. IMO, that just
happened, and at the same time, a bunch of folks who know
little about ATHM show up on the thread. It's funny, it's
happened before, it gets discussed among long-time ATHM fans.
That's what I was doing. Sorry if it bothered you, but CPQ
has been a crappy investment for a long time, and if that
makes you ill, you shouldn't invest in it (if you did).
